Lily Leaf Beetle

Stephane

The lily beetle is an insect easily recognized by the red color of its body and measures around 8 mm. It's an insect that can spread very quickly, since a female can lay between 200 and 300 eggs per season, which she fixes in bands under leaves. This small beetle eats flowers and leaves in both its larval and adult stages. The lily beetle is easier to spot than to trap, because as soon as it senses danger, it drops to the ground.
