Purple-throated Mountain-gem (Lampornis calolaemus) Colibrí Montañes Gorgimorado R-END
Impresionante colibrí mediano; el macho muestra garganta púrpura brillante, corona azul y línea blanca detrás del ojo. La hembra no es tan colorida, pero aún es llamativa: partes inferiores beige brillantes con mejilla negra y línea blanca detrás del ojo. Es muy similar a la hembra de White-bellied Mountain-gem, pero tiene la cola más verde; sólo con una buena vista se puede identificar con seguridad. Un colibrí de bosque que también visita bordes, jardines y comederos.
