Молодые совята, как оказалось, очень любят солнечный свет. На протяжении нескольких недель наблюдения практически все рассветы и закаты они встречали, повернувшись к солнцу. После сытной ночи они засыпали под утренними тёплыми лучами, а ближе к вечеру, проголодавшись, просыпались когда солнце подходило к горизонту.
