Macrosiphum euphorbiae, this aphid can contain three generations nested within its body. A female carries embryos, which themselves carry their own embryos. This is known as telescoped generation. As a result, a single female can produce great-granddaughters without ever mating, all within a few days. It\'s as if a grandmother gave birth to her daughter, who immediately gave birth to her own daughter—all within a 2 mm body.
