Ascensión

I took this image of Saint Bavo\'s Cathedral in Ghent, Belgium, because I was captivated by the majesty of its Gothic architecture and the serenity emanating from its interior. I wanted to capture the interplay of natural light flowing through the large window, creating a play of shadow and light that highlights the symmetry and details of the arches and columns. My intention was to convey a sense of peace and transcendence, using a composition based on the Golden Ratio to guide the viewer\'s gaze toward the spiritual heart of the space. The work posits the experience of sacred space as an inner ascent.
