Time Stands Still in Deadvlei
In the heart of Namibia’s Namib Desert, Deadvlei offers a hauntingly beautiful scene where time seems to have stopped. Ancient camelthorn trees, dead for centuries, stand frozen in a white clay pan, their skeletal branches reaching toward the sky. Behind them, the massive orange dunes of Sossusvlei rise dramatically, their curves sculpted by wind and sun.
