The contrast here is striking, Eddie. The geometric precision of the tiled wall creates a strong visual anchor against the more chaotic urban background. "Animalia in urbe" fits well; those two birds add an unexpected layer of life to such rigid architecture.
Did you wait for them to land there, or was it a chance encounter?

Hello, Thank you so much for your feedback. I was lucky that they were already in place, so all I had to do was get the framing right. This photo was taken in Paris La Défense.

Paris La Défense is perfect for this kind of stark geometry. You got lucky with the birds; they really complete the composition.
Eddie
Yes, Paris La Défense is a photogenic place with a heightened sense of urbanity, both in terms of architecture and people—and I would add the presence of animals to that.

The monochrome treatment enhances the starkness of the architecture, emphasizing the interplay of light and shadow. The inclusion of the birds adds an organic element to the otherwise rigid urban landscape. La Défense's modern aesthetic is well-suited for such compositions.

Merci Eddie, c'est un plaisir de partager cette passion commune pour la photographie urbaine. La Défense est en effet un lieu unique où architecture et nature se croisent de manière surprenante.
