The Book Museum.
Summer is vacation season, and a good book remains one of the best travel companions you can have.
Some of us still remember the quiet ritual of walking into a public library and leaving with a book in hand.
Today, places like these can feel like time capsules. Especially the New York Public Library on 5th Avenue.
It is stunning from the outside — a palace that announces itself with a regal, commanding facade.
But inside, in the halls and corridors, it becomes something completely different.
Perhaps that is why I love walking through libraries: every corridor leads somewhere.
Sometimes to another room.
Sometimes to another era.
And sometimes to another life.
