A tree that grew in the crack between rocks in the famous natural phenommenon the Belogradchik. I was lucky to catch it against the backdrop of this beautiful sky.
The story behind the shot:
Belogradchik rocks is a well-known place. The view of the fortress or of the rocks from the top is so clichéd, there's hardly a photographer that doesn't have it in his/her portfolio.
However, the rocks are insanely beautiful. I've been there a few times and every time, no matter how many times I'm shooting the same thing from almost the same angle, the images look different.
Photoadvice:
You can capture the scenery with anything - it is beautiful enough, but to cover as much of the scenery as possible, you'll need a wide-angle Lens. The rocks look their best on a cloudy day or under partly cloudy skies. In blazing sunlight, the rock look black, especially in the afternoon, when the sun shines directly into the lens.
Safety:
This place is beautiful, but also very dangerous. Railings are not everywhere along the perimeter, so if you are going to do some great stuff and climb rocks, WATCH YOUR STEP! Sneakers are a must - I've seen ladies in highheels, but I don't think there's something clever to go watch a natural object dressed up for a wedding.
