На фото героическая бронебашенная батарея №30 капитана Александера оснащённая 305 мм морскими орудиями, один из основных узлов обороны Севастополя. Батарея погибла в бою 26 июня 1942 года, большая часть её выживших защитников замучена немцами и татарскими добровольцами в концлагерях Черкес-Кермен и Тулле под Бахчисараем. После войны батарея восстановлена и поныне остаётся в строю береговой обороны главной базы Черноморского флота.
