Ополовник, или хвостатая синичка, или ополовничек (устар.) — Aegithalos caudatus
Пушистая бело-черно-рыжая птичка. Клюв очень маленький, короткий и толстый. Голова у северных птиц белая.При общей длине тела 150—170 мм на хвост приходится 88—107 мм. Весит птичка всего 8—9 г.
Название свое получил за то, что издали напоминает маленький круглый половник с длинной узкой ручкой.Обитает в лиственных и смешанных лесах.
