Keel-billed Motmot (Electron carinatum) Momoto Pico Quilla (Pájaro Bobo) R
Es una especie residente rara en las laderas del lado del Caribe de la Cordillera de Guanacaste y la Cordillera de Tilarán, entre los 300 m. y los 900 m. de altura.
Mide 32 cm. y pesa 65 grs. Es parecido en tamaño y forma a E. platyrhynchum, pero es eminentemente verde, con rufo solo en la frente.
Prefiere los bosques húmedos de gran talla, sobre todo cerca de barrancos, zanjas y quebradas en terrenos montañosos.
Son solitarios o forman parejas.
Su comportamiento es similar a Electron platyrhynchum, con la que es simpátrico en Costa Rica.
