Устюрт — плато в Казахстане и Узбекистане, расположенное между Мангышлаком и заливом Кара-Богаз-Гол на западе, Аральским морем и дельтой Амударьи на востоке. Площадь ок. 200 000 км². Основной ландшафт представляет собой глинистую полынную и полынно-солянковую пустыни, юго-восточная часть плато — глинисто-щебнистая пустыня. Участки солончаковой и (на севере) песчаной пустыни...
