Скалистые неприступные склоны священной горы Цей-Лоам (3171 м) часто скрыты туманом или окутаны облаками. Изменчивый вид горы, в глазах средневековых ингушей придавал ей ореол святости и таинственности. В древней ингушской мифологии гора Цей-Лоам отождествлялась с троном божества Селы — небесного громовержца и покровителя природных явлений.
