This fort was built under the project to strengthen the fortifications fortress of Kronstadt in 1855 - 1856 years. The project is the construction of five marine batteries was approved by Alexander II in 1855. Fort is very small in size. The guns of the fort were located is open between the batteries were held telegraph lines. Later, the fort expanded for installation of heavier guns.
