"I learned that courage is not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it"- Nelson Mandela
In the world that seeks to be fair and right sometimes the fairest stand out in situations of despair and plight. This is Gaurav, the boy who refuses to give up his smile. Having born in an extremely destitute family in India that feeds themselves by selling holy threads to upper caste Hindus, Gaurav is the youngest child with a history of Albino disease. Having lost his mother at a very tender age and watch his father struggle for each penny and elder brother battle with terminal kidney ailment, his own suffering seems so meagre to him. While many try to squash his spirits by making him feel how different and undesirable he is, Gaurav refuses to succumb to the facade of superficial outer differences and continues to believe in the same oneness and unity that asserts in the deeper recesses of our beings. His bright courageous smile heals and lights the painful and dark beliefs of our world.
