Лотосовый рассвет в дельте Волги. Цветёт лотос орехоносный (лат. Nelumbo nucifera). Занесён в Красную книгу России. Семена способны сохранять всхожесть очень долго, иногда столетиями. Во всяком случае, извлеченные из гробниц фараонов – семена лотоса прорастали, попав в родную стихию. Эта удивительная его особенность, связанная с выживаемостью вида, очевидно и стала источником легенды о бессмертии. Сам цветок лотоса символизирует вечную жизнь, бессмертную природу человека и его духовное развитие. Из фотопроекта "Дельта Волги».
