Озеро у цирка Ганешина и перевал Географов

Хибины. Этот горный цирк назван именем Ганешина Сергея Сергеевича, возглавлявшего ботаническое подразделение Кольской экспедиции АН СССР. 30.08.1930 г. в последний день полевой работы он заблудился в тумане на горе Вудъяврчорр (слева). За туманом последовала мощная снежная буря. Смерть наступила от внезапной остановки сердца. Перевал географов (в тумане справа) разделяет массивы Вудъяврчорр и Тахтарвумчорр. У подножья Вудъяврчорра в 1931 г. был основан и ныне работающий Полярно-альпийский ботанический сад институт.
