Гора Стахановская расположена на т.н. "Майорском хребте" - самом южном, отдельно стоящем отрезке Сусунайского хребта (остров Сахалин). В народе гора также именуется "Язычницей" из-за наличия нескольких лавиносбросов ("языков"), хорошо видных на снимках.
Съемка велась с горы Красной.
