Sword-billed hummingbird (Ensifera ensifera) Colibrí Picoespada
Inconfundible. Este absurdo colibrí tiene el pico más largo en relación con su tamaño corporal de cualquier ave en el mundo. Además del pico notable, busca la coloración mayormente verde opaco del cuerpo y la cabeza bronceada. Se encuentra en la zona templada de los Andes, desde Venezuela a Bolivia, aproximadamente entre 2,500–3,500 m. Ocurre en bosques y bordes montanos, donde usa su pico para alimentarse de flores tubulares largas. Visita comederos.
