Попрадская долина находится между хребтами Высоких и Низких Татр. Значительная часть ее территории, находящаяся в предгорье Высоких Татр, относится к Национальному парку Высокие Татры (TANAP), а прямо рядом возделываются сельскохозяйственные земли. Зима в сезоне 2013/2014 выдалась бесснежной и слишком теплой, что позволило сделать не совсем зимние пейзажи при естественном свете словацкой зимы.
