До недавнего времени был уверен, что это сурок (marmot). Оказывается, этот зверек - даман или пищуха (rock hyrax), еще одно название - rock rabbit (каменный кролик?), и, что более удивительно, он имеет в пасти пару резцов - рудименты бивней - и является родственником слонов! Вот тебе и сурок )
