статуя Иисуса Христа (Malta underwater statue of Jesus Christ) была выполнена известным мальтийским скульптором Alfred Camilleri Cauchi. Работы по дизайну и изготовлению подводной статуи Иисуса Христа были оценены в 1000 мальтийских лир и оплачены комитетом мальтийских дайверов во главе с Raniero Borg. Комитет дайверов уполномочил Alfred Camilleri Cauchi для выполнения данной работы в честь празднования посещения Мальты в 1990 году в первый раз Папой Римским Иоанном Павлом II. Статуя Иисуса Христа была изготовлена и первоначально утоплена в 1990 году на Мальте около островов Святого Павла (St. Paul's Islands).
