Луговой чекан выводит птенцов в мае и июне. В кладке 5-6 яиц. Время насиживания 12-13 дней. Птенцы остаются в гнезде две недели. Летать начинают в возрасте 17-19 дней. Родители выдают близость гнезда своими взволнованными отвлекающими маневрами.
