Я не ошибся с выбором места — ночью оно выглядело еще более мистическим и неземным. Справа гулко потрескивал ледник Кхумбу. Я представлял, какие процессы происходят сейчас там, под слоем серой пыли. Как медленно, микрон за микроном, движется вниз исполинская масса, как лопается толща голубого прессованного льда, издавая характерный низкий звук "тунг".

Лобуче, ледник Кхумбу, близ Эвереста, Непал. Высота точки съёмки — 5000 м.
