Biography
I\'m a self-taught photographer and I bought my first DSLR in 2012.
One year later I took a portrait of my son David and this is where my adventure with photography started.
During my journey from a little boy to an adult, I was always acompanied by sensitivity and empathy. Through eye-contact with another human being I feel their emotions strongly, unfortunately usually the unpleasant ones, which often end in tears. I believe that eyes are the mirror of the soul, hence classical portrait is my favourite style of photography.
My favourite portrait artist is Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn. I often use a similar light to the one you see on his paintings.
In addition to portrait photography I love the fantastic, mystical atmosphere surrounded by a certain aura, magical mist that transports the viewer into another dimension. I hope that I show it on my pictures.
